About Us
San Jose City is situated at the northern part of Central Luzon. The city is composed of 38 barangays. Its strategic location made San Jose City the center of business and trade in this part of Region III, hence, the fast development which includes the creation of San Jose City Division.
In March 2010, the Interim Division of San Jose City was formally approved with Alberto P. Saludez as the Officer-in-charge Schools Divisions Superintendent. The Division is composed of 444 Elementary teachers and 203 Secondary teachers. Of the 757 teachers, 651 are permanent while 106 are Local School Board Funded Teachers. The Division is fortunate that the Local Government Unit under the leadership of Hon. Marivic V. Belena, City Mayor, prioritizes education in its annual budget allocation, hence the division is enjoying a good financial support.
At its infancy stage, the Division is now receiving teacher item positions and classrooms to accommodate the significant increase in the number of enrollees. The Division is composed of 48 Elementary Schools, 6 Secondary Schools and 18 Private Schools.
Today, in line with the Division advocacy on "Nobody Left Behind" the Schools Division Office headed by Teresa D. Mababa, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent, is now implementing DepED programs and projects smoothly and progressively. It is due to this direction that all education stakeholders were reached, helped and supported.
San Jose City Division is now known in DepED Region III as one of those performing Schools Division Office in terms of policy and program implementation and accomplishments.
